Our History

Spirit Quest started in 1999 as a business entity run by Ketan Majmudar. In 2014 the company was incorporated privately. Here are some of our key milestones.

1999

Princes Trust Awarded

Start of company through a Princes Trust Loan, awarded in North London, England.

2003

Vegan Society - I.T.

Web/Database Engineer role, expanded over a period of years and involved Implementing a charity wide membership database, updating web presence and accessibility. Complete internal hardware and networking overhaul. We also helped in creating a data structure/system for the Society Trademark. We were also involved in the technical streamlining involving their publication "The Animal Free Shopper".

2006

Technical Director - Ethical Junction CIC

UI / UX Design and System implementation of this unique "web based" Ethical Business Network. Ketan oversaw modification of existing open source tools to create a platform framework. Project Managed a team delivery for a social eneterpirse digital platform. We also innovated an "ethical ad network" based on the OpenX framework.

2011

SCI-FI-LONDON launched

First Version of the SCI-FI-LONDON film festival app launched for both android and iOS.

2013

Codestrong Mobile Innovation Award Winner

Spirit Quest speaks at the first mobile developer conference "Codestrong" organised by Appcelerator. Ketan has organised the Titanium developer community meet-ups in London since 2012. At the Appcelerator dev conference in 2013 Ketan was awarded for community contributions.

2013

T-10 Winner - NASA Space Apps Challenge

Ket took part in the Global hackathon organised by NASA. He joined a team of 3 others. Together they ended up winning the best in class for Most Inspirational project amongst a pool of over 9 thousand participants. Spirit Quest were involved in providing infrastructure, resources, servers and domains to help the project succeed.

2014

Spirit Quest Limited created

Business incorporated as a private limited company.

2017

Film Festival Platform Re-factored

Spirit Quest rewrote the codebase of the SCI-FI-LONDON film festival framework, extending the infrastructure to make this a platform we can offer to other independent film festivals.
